AOL developed the most famous Netscape Browser which was originally launched in 1994, would now find its end on February 1, 2008. The announcement came from the AOL director Tom Drapeau.

The existing Netscape Browser’s need not panic, as the company would continue to support current version Netscape 9. They would even release patches or security fixes until the date. News is that AOL will cease further development on all Netscape web browsers.

Mozilla Firefox would not get the uplift as Drapeau recommends it for anyone running a Netscape-branded browser. Mozilla Firefox is an open-source browser and carries the last few versions of Netscape.

The success of Mozilla Foundation have certainly made them take this drastic step, desktop users would never forget the combat of Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer from Microsoft. It was during that course of time AOL purchased the Netscape Communications Corporation and adjoined it with the Mozilla project.

Mozilla was literally the successor of Netscape browser that had the problems of downloading and installing, its right that AOL decided to kill the lagged one and handover the reign to Firefox completely.

With the arrival of Apple Safari browser, the scenario of operating systems are challenging, no wonder the Netscape’s browser would be considered irrelevant as their users were vulnerable to attacks.

How do you find stuff on the internet? The answer is a no-brainer. Google it. The pre-eminence of Google has all but taken away any other mode of retrieving information from the internet. Yahoo’s Glue Pages, which debuted in India ( an indicator that Indian markets are increasingly proving to be interesting to digital denizens) are all trying to be ‘the preferred gateway’ to cyberspace.

The search engines were meant to index all the folk speak. The problem with this approach however, is that brandspeak gets lost in folkspeak on the net. With mobiles, laptops and other internet-enabled devices continuously contributing to folkspeak, the problem of retrieving brandspeak on the net is going to become even more acute. And no, search engine optimization is only a band-aid remedy. Because the web just became Web 2.0 – that means social web, semantic web and rich media. What brands need is not just SEO optimized webpages, flashing banners or sponsored links. They need their own, special place on the web. They need their brandfronts.

Presenting Buzzar

www.buzzar.tv is an online exhibition platform for brands. With product and service categories that make for easy accessibility and a simple-to-use interface, is whole new way of advertising online. Buzzar gives you a ‘brandfront’ – a departure from banners, eyeballs, clickthroughs and other conventional online ideas. Buzzar is non-intrusive and allows users to explore brands at their own convenience -an ideal complement to print, radio and television-based advertising.

There’s a new breed of sitcom stars that are beginning to crowd the virtual world.

Ram and Ria are the new stars of the online sitcom world. Three-minute capsules are a blessing for those glued to their computer screens.

All one needs is a broadband connection and one can watch the drama unspool, anytime anywhere, and that too free of cost. Conceived by a Chennai-based company, this site is buzzing with clicks even before the official launch.

‘’Soon these goodies can be offered at airports, in all internet enabled devices like ipods, mobile phones, nanos and all such devices,’’ said Siddharth S Kumar, Pixel Kraft.

The visuals are stunning but the fact is that only fifty percent of these are shot, Viscom experts conjure up the rest of this micro world.

They first create a virtual setting for every episode and the result is beautiful blend of real and the reel, replete with a life-like feel.

Recycling can no longer be given a space to be forgotten, its time we face it and know how to make it efficiently useful. Recycling becomes complicated when we have to sort and separate the waste materials. It’s not simple to find out where the metal should be thrown, where the paper has to be dumped and at last where the plastic has to be kept-all for recycling.

But let all of us be aware that not all plastics and metals can be recycled. Here comes a technology that can judge what’s the nature of the garbage, it is called the ‘barcode trashcan’. If you can swipe the recyclable material over the top of the trashcan, the door opens for you to dump it right over there-giving you green signal to keep the world greener. The benefits that line up are immense, hygienic environment; the damage of resource is prevented. The efficient manpower control is exalted in fact, keeping the whole procedure rapid and constructive.

The official details and images of the frolic design of the Challenger coupe has been let out. Chicago Auto Show will own a mighty crowd when the car would make its first public appearance.

The retro-penned exterior looks of the Challenger would be as fantastic as said and expected. The tacky interior would also grab much notice but wait, automobile fanatics will not be able to have much of it due to the limited edition.

The Challenger will be available in the SRT8 version, which would be limited initially. Powered by Chrysler’s 6.1-liter V8 Hemi (425 HP and 420 lb.-ft. of torque) a 5-speed automatic transmission with Auto Stick would be the comrade of the whole machine.

Look out for the tremendous performance of the 2008 Dodge challenger SRT8 that targets and includes a 0-60 mph (96 km/h) time in the low 5-second range. In less than 17 seconds it would be 0-100 mph, a ¼-mile elapsed time of less than 14 seconds, now is that not great news for speed thrillers?

A skid pad performance of 0.88 g is set ready and a braking distance of 60-0 mph covering approximately 100 feet.
Get ready for the sale this spring but carry a MSRP of $37,995 to own the Challenger SRT8.

Viridis Waste Control LLC has come up with a new kind of waste treatment system, which surprisingly has the potential to generate renewable fuel massively. It can reduce landfill usage and the complete process comes under the name of Septage Bioreactor Landfill technology.

This could be called as the never said before technique as the whole hygienic concept is on blending sewage with garbage. This technology gives us the knowledge about how the organic matters in both sewage and garbage decompose and produce methane on their own.

The energy potential of this resources has already tapped many processes related to waste treatment system. Would you like to know about how this actually occurs? The anaerobic microorganisms in the waste and organic matter produce methane as a by-product.

The practice of decomposition will now be faster, parallel to the large amount of bacteria and organic matter. Even when Landfill garbage breaks down and decomposes the bacteria level, it’s considered to be quite slow.

Septage Bioreactor Landfill technology can blend with ground garbage thus allowing the organic matter to decompose faster. Methane that is created in a short period of time at a large quantity will be spout for fuel. Sure to be called as a reliable source of energy, this waste treatment system would be considered as a sustainable practice, in future.

Created by Atilla Tay, Ferrari F460 Tifosi concept looks powerful and fully loaded. Known to be a Transport Design graduate from the Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, Atilla Tay had designed this magnum opus as a successor to the existing Ferrari F430.

Wonder what the word ‘Tifosi’ means actually? Derived from the dictionary of Italy it means ‘fan’. Interestingly this word is often used to describe the supporters and admirers of Scuderia Ferrari in Formula One.

A proposal based on the name and fame of Ferrari F430, this car would be motorized from a 4.6 liter V8, in a mid-engine design. Another feature that would follow the steps of F430 is the visibility of the engine. Look out for the Tifosi’s engine through a glass rear hatch.

Comparable to the dimension and fraction of Ferrari F430, Tifosi has a layout slightly slick. The exterior design of this car will let you think of DNA, as it has been inspired out of its shape, as the sinuous of the car surface is icy!

A great news and invention for home executives is that the hidden vacuum systems will never make its presence when not needed. The telescoping arm can be raised and it’s an extractor device maintaining less distance between the stovetop. Imagine the vapors being absorbed as soon as it’s expelled out, the complete infrastructure of the vacuum system would let you guess if it has a sixth sense as it owns a indicator that informs you when it has to be cleaned. Much suitable for open kitchen, anyone would be able to observe the difference of this appliance as it returns to its central position after use. Remarked as an innovative ventilation system, it would turn out to be an essential need and a part of interior designing targeting kitchen.
